Dota Hero Krobelus The Death Prophet Map

Dota Hero Krobelus – The Death Prophet Item Build, Guide and Strategy. Although her Carrion Swarm spell allows the Death Prophet to be a strong damage spellcaster, she can also make a great tank. By buying items to pump up her hit points and armor and casting her Exorcism spell, the Death Prophet can quickly decimate the enemy team while shrugging off their attempts to stop her. Carrion Swarm is a strong area of effect spell, and with her Witchcraft passive and some mana items the Death Prophet can cast Carrion Swarm very often. The Death Prophet is especially powerful when attacking enemy towers and bases. To know more about his character, see the post below.

Krobelus The Death Prophet background story. Krobelus spent her living days as a fervent member of a cult of Death Sayers. Her belief in the ways of death and the perfect harmony it brings has given her dead spirit a chance to wreak havoc among the chaotic living. She uses her abilities to call upon carnivorous bats and long dead spirits to lay to rest all who still pump blood through their veins. She augments her powers through the use of witchcraft, and she is able to make opponents gape in fear, losing the focus needed to cast spells. She is devoted to death in all it’s aspects, and would see all turned to ash.

Krobelus The Death Prophet Items Build

Null Talisman (505)
6 Intelligence
3 Strength
3 Agility
3 Damage
Mantle of Intelligence + Circlet of Nobility + Null Talisman Recipe Scroll
For the extra mana. You might consider getting two of these before starting assembling Perseverance.

Perseverance (1750)
10 Damage
5 HP Regeneration
125% Mana Regeneration
Note : Can be disassembled.
Ring of Health + Void Stone
First get Void Stone for the mana (you need it if you want to cast Carrion Swarm a decent amount of times) and then the Ring of Health. With high regeneration you won’t have to make so many trips back and forth to the fountain. If you feel that you have enough mana with the two Null Talismans you can get the Headress first.

Mekansm (2306)
5 All Attributes
5 Armor
Passive: Mekansm Aura
4 HP regeneration. 500 AoE
Active: Heal
Heals 250 HP and gives +2 armor in 750 AoE. Armor bonus lasts 25 seconds. Doesn’t affect units that have been healed by any Restore in the last 25 seconds. 150 manacost. 45 seconds cooldown.
Headdress of Rejuvenation + Netherezim Buckler + Mekansm Recipe Scroll
You are still not ready to start going aggressive and need even more regeneration and armor. Physical weakness is your main problem, and Mekansm will fix it. First get the headress (life regeneration is more important than armor). If you find the Guinsoo more important you can first get it, and then complete Mekansm.

Guinsoo`s Scythe of Vyse
This babe will save your ass many times. If you you’re being chased by a nuker just hex him and run. If you have constant problems with enemy heroes (they are too fast) get boots of speed first and then assemble the Scythe. The Scythe will also give you a lot of mana. This means even more Carrion Swarm for you.

Dagon (2705)
13/15/17/19/21 Intelligence
3 All Atributes
9 Damage
Active: Energy Burst
Deals 400/500/600/700/800 damage to a target unit. 180/160/140/120/100 manacost. 40/36/32/28/24 seconds cooldown. 600/650/700/750/800 cast range.
Note: Buy recipe to upgrade (5 levels).
Null Talisman + Staff of Wizardry + Dagon Recipe Scroll
If you want to get a kill, you won’t really be able to do it with the skills you have. Not even if you hex the enemy can you hope to get a kill. However, Dagon can solve this problem. Fully upgraded it deals a lot of damage (800), and frankly, mana should no longer be a problem. So get Dagon and kick some ass.

Boots of Travel (2500)
100 Movement Speed

Active: Teleport
- Teleports you to an allied non-hero unit or building
- Casting time: 3 seconds
- Manacost: 75 mana
- Cooldown: 60 seconds
- Shares cooldown with Scroll of Town Portal

Note: Movement speed bonus does not stack with Boots of Travel, Phase Boots, Power Treads, Tranquil Boots or Boots of Speed.
Double clicking teleports you to your fountain.
Boots of Speed + Boots of Travel Recipe Scroll
These will greatly boost your movement speed and make your way to the fountain (or back from it) much faster. In tandem with Guinsoo you should be able to escape most difficult situations.

Refresher Orb (5300)
6 Intelligence
5 HP Regeneration
200% Mana Regeneration
40 Damage
Active: Reset Cooldowns
- Resets the cooldowns of all your abilities and items.
- 375 manacost.
- 160 seconds cooldown.

Perseverance + Oblivion Staff + Refresher Orb Recipe Scroll
The order of the following items is pure optional. They are not all vital to the hero, yet they can greatly help you. The Refresher Orb will grant you even more mana regeneration, bonus damage, and of course, two Exorcisms (do not attempt to cast them simultaneously though!).

Mjollnir (5400)
80 Attack Speed
24 Damage

Passive: Chain Lightning
- 25% chance to release a Chain Lightning on attack.
- Hits 8 units. 160 damage each. 500 bounce range.
- Orb effect.

Active: Static Charge
- Places a charged shield on a target unit, when that unit is damaged, there is a 20% chance that lightning will strike the source of the damage and 2 nearby enemies
- Lightning deals 200 magical damage, the damage source and secondary targets cannot be more than 900 range away, the 3 targets hit must be in a cone with 125 starting AoE, 475 distance and 300 final AoE
- Cannot trigger more than once per second
- Will have no effect if cast on a unit that already has a Static Charge active on it
- Double clicking on the item will cast Static Charge on yourself
- Lasts 20 seconds
- 50 manacost
- 35 seconds cooldown
- 600 cast range

Note: Can be disassembled.
Maelstrom + Hyperstone + Mjollnir Recipe Scroll
You lack agility and may want to farm better. This item is not recommended by many as Krobelus is more an attacker than a nuker. But I simply love Mjollnir. Perhaps get it after Eye of Skadi, but you definitely need some speed boster, and I’d rather have this than The Butterfly or Power Treads.

Eye of Skadi (5850)
25 Agility
25 Strength
25 Intelligence
200 HP
150 Mana

Passive: Cold Attack
- Causes attacks to slow the movement speed of the target by 30% and attack speed by 20%.
Melee hero:
- Lasts 5 seconds
- Orb effect
- Buff placer
Ranged hero:
- Lasts 3 seconds
- Buff placer

2x Ultimate Orb + Point Booster + Orb of Venom
If you’ve got Mjollnir it will be super easy for you to get this item. It costs a lot, but it is the ultimate weapon you need. It can replace Mekansm as you are now turning into a hunter, you’re no longer hunted.

Krobelus The Death Prophet Strategy

Laning: Krobelus is a viable hero for mid, however most of the time there will be someone else that will benefit more from soloing mid. If not then take it. Otherwise head bottom lane Sentinel or top lane Scourge. Last hit to the best of your ability and occasionaly harass with Carrion Swarm. Make sure that you don’t have to go back to the fountain as this wastes crucial time and we need every second of last hitting and XP to be more effective mid game. By the end of the laning phase when people start to gank and push seriously, you should have finished your basic laning core items.

Farming: Since Carrion Swarm is your only real nuke, this is the skill that we will be using to farm. 2 swarms will destroy a creep wave, but usually one together with your normal attack is enough. Remember we need to conserve as much mana as we can early game, and once we get enough mana and regen, then we can start spamming this skill to farm. So before you have the mana only use one swarm per creep wave, and last hit to farm.

Late Game: Late game our job is to go around the map pushing, stopping pushes, and fighting in team battles. Since we should have BoT at this point of the game, those things are pretty easy for us to do. Go to one lane push one tower quickly, then switch over to another lane and push there. Since teams stick together at this point, it is also a good idea to stick with your team. Counter pushing is easy for us, 2 swarms take care of creep waves easily. So during this part of the game, you want to push with your team, push by yourself when not pushing with your team, and counter pushing the enemy team’s pushes.

Team Battles: Our role in team battles comes after the initiators. Once they go in and disable the enemy team, it is our turn to go in. First of all turn on your ultimate immediately. Then use your silence on the most heroes possible. After that you are free to spam swarm. Use one more silence if needed, but that really won’t be necessary as the enemy team should be dead by then. So to sum it up, here is what we do in massive team battles:

1) When the initiators on your team have disabled the opposing team, go in.
2) Turn on your ultimate.
3) Silence the other team. Always try to silence their most dangerous spell caster/disabler.
4) Spam Carrion Swarm/use Shivas if you have it.
5) Use Silence again if necessary/chase fleeing heroes down with ultimate turned on.
